Not All Contractors Are Hessians

Go.

Read.

Then start thinking about "IFF" codes and signals for a decentralized battlespace.

We're gonna need 'em.

Trust will be a big thing. Make sure you 'contractors' get your word out early. Don't think this III thing will last as IFF. It's an easy thing for the enemy to fake. You might just want to stop working for the governments interest now, to be ready to fall in when needed.

The only relatively safe-from Americans-options for these guys are to resign after caching a lot of office perks or be seen shooting at oath traitors attacking Americans because they got a organic garden or something.

This IFF plan is unworkable so long as we have zero manufacturing capability, zero research capability, and practically no capacity to adapt off the shelf components. Even IF... there's the matter of the enemy having practically unlimited resources to ferret out and mimic, jam those signals or use them as homing signals for ordnance.

You would need a spread spectrum type device and I'm pretty sure no American Underground has the resources or talent to adapt or build from scratch. Can't even make our own ammunition...

Yes, ammunition manufacture-work on THAT. Not being able to make more ammo let alone weapons is what did the Boers in.

I think a couple people here don't see that the "IFF" was an analogy for making sure people know what side you're on.

For now, this can be ambiguous. For later though, a number of the suggestions for picking sides and such will probably be taken.

Intelligence will be needed though, and there will be a few people to provide that. This will come mostly from an open source model, with the insiders selling or giving secrets to brokers who will make it available to the various units/groups blowing up the gov's stuff. They'll also be a good start on who not to kill, to some extent. They'll be able to say, "my source is in this building, try not to blow it up" and the like.

Even after the crap hits the fan, there will be friends inside. As stated though, they'll be taking their chances, so don't be too worried about killing them if you get in a fight.

Most will pretty much have to take their chances, but if you don't get chased out when you bug out, pray your thanks, and don't look back.

Take the license plate off your car, and carry poorly concealed everywhere. Anyone hassling you about it has revealed themselves to be on the wrong side.
