The real police cuffs are much tougher. Looks like you need a pin to defeat them.

this says - specifically - that you can't use these techniques on zip-cuffs - only for standard "zip ties". They're using metal-inserts in the zip-cuffs now to make cutting less possible...
The people who do this for real use two of the HEAVY zip ties connected together. Not sure this would work for them.
The point on the info is FOR zip ties only,folks! Pragmatism is welcomed over at Snowflake's place,for cryin out loud!

google "friction cutting zip cuffs" and you'll find material that is somewhat more relevant that this video.The fact that most of the current plasti-cuffs in use have a metal liner makes this even more challenging. Also check out some of the tools listed at www.serepick.com - specifically the diamond wire and the micro-ceramic blade. Your best bet is to try and make an escape before you are formally interned.
