JDA: Revoke Krugman's PhD and Then Let's Talk Social Security...

Junior Deputy Accountant links to Denninger, and they both then proceed to savage this article by the People's Deputy Minister Without Portfolio For Economic Propaganda Paul Krugman.

Read both the JDA and Denninger links, then go through Krugman's balderdash.

"Stooge" is too kind a word.

"Accomplice" is a better choice, methinks.

Ponzi scheme. Pyramid scam.
And it's MANDATORY, because we're their idiot children incapable of deciding the most basic issues in our lives. Again. And you pay taxes on YOUR money that you get BACK as SS benefits. And they want to INCREASE that tax.
I don't expect to see a nickel of my 30 years' worth of contributions. But then, I don't expect to have to keep paying taxes much longer, one way or another, so it all works out. With 10 percent of eligible workers unemployed, the tank hasn't been topped off for a long time. With jobs being sent abroad or given to illegals, it doesn't seem likely to be.
This will speed whatever rebellion may come.

I am partial to "asshat" myself but I appreciate the pick-up of this important public humiliation.

I agree that "accomplice" suits him quite well.

Krugman is a well known kook, as are all Keynesians. Those who champion Keynesian economics are always the darlings of the centralizing state because that theory of economics grants huge amounts of power to the state. Keynes was the basis for Franklin Roosevelt's version of fascism, enabling his "brain trust" to begin all manner of government inroads in our lives. Krugman will always be defended by progressives, the American version of fascist, because they continue to defend that daddy of all American fascists, the demigod, Roosevelt.

Yes, Social Security is a Ponzi scheme and would be illegal if any of us attempted to offer it as a commercial product. It cannot continue much longer, not that it's already broke, but because those still in the work force will stop paying into it.

I prefer "collaborator" to "accomplice" myself.

The old SS system was effectively destroyed when LBJ and the democraps decided (in the '60's) to tap into the "stored" funds during the Viet Nam war. This enabled them to buy both the guns(Viet Nam war) and the butter(War on Poverty); neither of which they won. After that it was too easy for both dems and repubs to just keep misappropriating the funds. pubs.

Here's a fun party game: "Rand Roulette."

To play, the "dealer" names a prominent political, academic, or business "leader", and the other players write the name of a character from one of Ayn Rand's books who they think most resembles that individual. The winner is decided by acclamation. The winner is the next dealer.

I see Dr. Krugman as Dr. Simon Pritchett--the eager tool of the political class.
