Poem By POTUS

Written by a young Barack Obama, and published in 1981 in his college literary journal:

POP

Sitting in his seat, a seat broad and broken
In, sprinkled with ashes
Pop switches channels, takes another
Shot of Seagrams, neat, and asks
What to do with me, a green young man
Who fails to consider the
Flim and flam of the world, since
Things have been easy for me;
I stare hard at his face, a stare
That deflects off his brow;
I’m sure he’s unaware of his
Dark, watery eyes, that
Glance in different directions,
And his slow, unwelcome twitches,
Fail to pass.
I listen, nod,
Listen, open, till I cling to his pale,
Beige T-shirt, yelling,
Yelling in his ears, that hang
With heavy lobes, but he’s still telling
His joke, so I ask why
He’s so unhappy, to which he replies...
But I don’t care anymore, cause
He took too damn long, and from
Under my seat, I pull out the
Mirror I’ve been saving; I’m laughing,
Laughing loud, the blood rushing from his face
To mine, as he grows small,
A spot in my brain, something
That may be squeezed out, like a
Watermelon seed between
Two fingers.
Pop takes another shot, neat,
Points out the same amber
Stain on his shorts that I’ve got on mine, and
Makes me smell his smell, coming
From me; he switches channels, recites an old poem
He wrote before his mother died,
Stands, shouts, and asks
For a hug, as I shrink, my
Arms barely reaching around
His thick, oily neck, and his broad back; ’cause
I see my face, framed within
Pop’s black-framed glasses
And know he’s laughing too.

I am no poet but this shit is creepy.

Sounds like a confused young man looking for answers.....not the thoughts of a great leader.

Am I the only one that thinks Obama was writing about a sexual assault here?

I for one do not want my future hanging in the balance while he figures out his daddy issues.

This poem is too well-written to have come from the hand of a doped-up frat boy.

Bill Ayers works with prose, so a more likely ghost writer is Omama's communist mentor, Frank Marshall Davis.

Am I the only one that thinks Obama was writing about a sexual assault here?--Grenadier1

Frank Davis (who wrote pornography under an assumed name) admitted to being bisexual. So no, you are not the only one to speculate that this poem is actually about incest, homosexuality and pedophilia.

The "incestuous" element may require amplification. At the risk of your falling in among birthers, Google "Frank Davis/ Obama paternity" and follow the links.

Prezactly. The POTUS is some damaged goods, just learning how to have a good time and get along. It's good to have a Secret Service posse and 3 Boeing jumbo's to go about in. It keeps the little people out from underfoot. New millionaires in Africa are taking notes on how to roll in such style that parent-child homo-rape can be forgotten after a few drinks at 60,000 feet.

Cheers.

Truly average, squalid and depressing. I have to go take a shower now.
And I don't for one second believe Bill Clinton's freakin' IQ is 180, either.

Grenadier - no, you're definitely not the only one, though I don't think there's any "assault" going on -- I'm pretty damn sure it was by mutual consent.

See Larry Craig - who has thus far (miraculously) managed to survive, unlike a couple of others who were likely to have spent some time in B.O's closet...

I don't think it is about "stupid drivel" from 30 years ago. And I don't think the issue is shrub against the obama person.

They are both enemies of freedom and collectivists.

The poem is kind of creepy.

That is some freaky prose.

Whatever the story is behind it, it sure ain't a happy one.

Whoever would write something like that has got some heavyweight issues.

If you can't figure this one out, you have "issues" yourself.

Frank Marshall Davis had up to young Barry in full... mentally, politically, philosophically, psychopharmaceutically and physically.

Or young Barry wanted him to.

I don't know which is worse.

What I do know is that Kim du Toit's treatise on the "Pussification of The West" has come to bear fruit, pun intended.

Cowardice, codified.

If you haven't seen this:

You haven't heard a tour de force of truth and reason.

Someone, perhaps our esteemed host, Concerned American, recently characterized Bill Whittle as a "pompous something or other". I defy anyone to exceed the eloquence, logic, accuracy or passion exhibited by Bill Whittle in this video.

And no, I don't give a fig for your "no foreign entanglements" orthodoxy.

"Hallucinating blowhard" was the term.

Whittle fails to address the lack of meaningful political opposition, by the Dead Elephants or anyone else.

He also does not face the hard fact of the political point of no return, both from the indestructible governmental apparatus and the "150+ million slavering socialist cannibals" perspectives.

If you want to watch someone who isn't full of a rich and verbose blend of himself and fecal matter, take 37 minutes and watch Sowell here.

CA:

Because that is not the subject of his talk. He only had 13, not 37, minutes. Just to review, he's talking about denial, cowardice and the suicidal appeasement by western socialist elites, both as to the rise of Hitler and Japanese Imperialism, and as to the present reaction to militant Islam.

It's pretty obvious if you actually listen.

I don't know what your problem is with Whittle but your comments and scatological aspersions here betray a complete lack of substantive argument. And, since there is nothing in Whittle's speech that you should find offensive or even disagree with, I find your reaction to be incomprehensible.

Whittle is a powerful mind and voice ON. OUR. SIDE! He is unfailingly pro Liberty.

If your problem is that he seems to suggest that we may have some chance to correct the situation in November, then you simply have a difference of opinion, one not warranting the ad hominem venom of your comment.

I suggest that everyone who fails to continually reiterate all the points and opinions you deem paramount are not necessarily to be thrown under the bus. Orthodoxies are the coin of the realm for our Enemies!

If you find factual accuracy, lucid thinking, eloquent speaking and righteous passion to be offensive so as to deserve your bile, I can only say
you must have missed the point.

And I am a great admirer of Thomas Sowell. I am humbled by the intellect and understanding of men such as Mr. Sowell and Mr. Whittle. I doubt that they would would find much about which to disagree and would certainly not be so disagreeable with each other, even if they did.

Bill Whittle is reaching another audience, very powerfully. We should all be grateful that he is doing so.

Cheers back at you CA. Thanks for all you do with this blog. Sincerely. I am educatEd further every time i READ HERE..

We're going to need everyone who resembles us re: Liberty, in the end. That includes folks like Whittle who are still trying to salvage the Founders' Republic by the means they provided, however misguided you my think them to be.

Everyone comes to awareness at their own pace... and your particular view is limited by your own perceptions and experiences just as is everyone else.

Whittle burns me as he could be doing so much more with his gifts if he actually thought things through to their logical conclusion.

Hence, the bile directed at him.

I get to be small-charactered at times...

CA,

Dialogue is what we have.

Dialectic is what our enemies have.

We can help each other think it through.

They can't ever find the truth because they think they have already found it and because they have no means to square it with reality, about which they must remain in denial. The Vanderleun post cited in these pages so thoroughly skewers them for this.

Who would you pick to win, in the long run?

Whittle is at his best when explaining in such clear and even poetic ways the reality of a given topic. He pulls no punches and names things and people for what they are. And he does so with a passionate and righteous indignation that is unerring, without cheap sarcasm or ad hominem.

He is a very effective advocate for Liberty and an outspoken and deadly accurate critic of the hypocrisy and deceit which are the life blood of tyrants. For me, he is saying, in the speech in question, very much the same thing as Gerard V. does.

Anyway, CA, thanks for being the gracious host and please accept my comments as my good faith contribution to our common cause.

Death to the enemies of Liberty!
