What an odd comparison...muslims and patriots. How do you manage to confuse one group of people who have been fighting civilization for the last 1400 years with another group who have created the most civilized nation the world has seen and want to turn back the tide of barbarians.

Do you honestly believe that your freedoms would be cherished by muslims if we lose the war with them?

I would also premise that the Declaration of Independence also gives us the authority to assassinate government officials when they corrupt our country:

"That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness."

You see, two can play at this game, and right now, they can count their lucky stars that they are (probably) not in the cross-hairs. Yet! But continue to push, and...

As for the war against Islam, it is not even being fought seriously. If it were, the House of Saud would be empty, Iran would be a series of radioactive impact areas, and both Mecca and Medina would be occupied by Western forces.

This is simply the old "Wanted Dead or Alive" updated to contemporary policy.

One could draw the comparison to one William H. Bonny A.K.A. "Billy the kid". Once he was placed outside of the law in his efforts to fight local land intrests he was the target of government sanctioned killing. Its not new it is just big boy rules.

I understand that in the future my efforts might place me on a WDOA poster. Accept it or bury your guns and rot on your couch.

Well if that is the standard for action then we would not have been able to fight any wars.

I think the Author is trying to say that Islam is not the enemy. That is a foolsh thing to believe. For 1400 years Islam has been the enemy of civilization. This belief is one of the reasons I have never been able to seriously consider Ron Paul as anything other than a kook.

I remember airports without metal detectors. (Before the CUBAN hijackers were a threat.) When a roadblock and license check meant one thing: a dangerous prisoner had escaped from jail. And even then it was unheard of for them to ask to search your car. When reading private mail and searching homes without a warrant was something the FOREIGN ENEMIES of the United States did, not its employees. I think the author is trying to say Islam is not the ONLY enemy of liberty. Too much power in too few hands -- ANY hands -- is, as well.

No we all get that Islam is a totalitarian movement wrapped in the cloak of religion but we and Ron Paul realize that on a daily basis the average US citizen's greatest threat to personal freedom and liberty is the domestic state.

If Islam has been the enemy of civilizations for 1400 years, it is doing a shitty job. Remind me again why 'muricans should be so afraid of the turrorists? Considering that this terrorism was nationalistic until the 1980s (CIA, Afghanistan, Bin Laden, you bet they trained him).

One of the benefits of the fact that Islam is slow/nonexistent at innovation.

The fact that some on here want to conduct the same genocide that the Al-Qaeda boys want to do to us, seems that despite the "love for liberty" more here are bigger fans of Genghis Khan (killed lots of Muslims) than George Washington.
